Pakistan is approaching a critical point in its natural gas availability, which has long been used as a low-cost energy source for heating. While solar water heaters are a mature and proven technology, market availability has remained limited and often dependent on imports. Raj Solar aims to address this gap by working toward local manufacturing, making efficient and high-quality solar water heaters more accessible across Pakistan.
We work with diverse industries including textile, FMCG, pharmaceutical, and wood sectors, designing tailored heating solutions based on specific requirements. Our systems include technologies such as Shamsi 200 solar water heaters, pressurized systems with heat pipes, thermal collector manifolds, and flat-bed solar heaters — ensuring practical, efficient, and scalable solutions for different applications.
Burhanuddin Husain
Chief Executive Officer
Burhanuddin envisions the very fine details of the projects he challenges himself with. Manufacturing solar water heaters in Pakistan is the idea he has been formulating for past 5 years.
He has a masters in power energy from TUM, Germany and bachelors in mechanical engineering with economics minor from HKU. He has formerly worked at IHS Markit and Informa, business consulting and market insights company.
Yousuf Baqir
Chief Operating Officer
Yousuf steers and motivates the work force and is particulate in getting things done. He supervises all the activities on the production floor where he is adamant on keeping the floor clean and tidy.
He has an engineering degree from McGill and has garnered over 5 years of hands-on experience with fabrication of industrial machinery and equipment.
Mufaddal Marvi
Chief Technical Officer
Mufaddal sketches ideas into reality; more into engineering design. He is the mechanical artist and finds crafty solutions to problems. Often you would find him in the field with measuring instruments, or running simulations on his computer.
He has a bachelors in mechanical engineering from GIKI and over 8 years of field work in Oil and Gas, construction, solar water heating, and restoration of heritage buildings.
