The number of solar water heaters you need depends on your consumption pattern. On average, one solar water heater would sufficiently serve 2 to 4 bathrooms depending on the location of the bathroom in the house.

The solar water heaters are insulated with a thick layer of high density Poly Urethane Foam. This is the same insulation as used in thermos or water coolers, but much thicker. The loss in temperature overnight is less than 5 degrees, which means the water in the tank stays hot till the morning.

Furthermore, the auxiliary electric heater is designed to keep the water warm upto 35 degrees, ideal for a warm shower early in the morning or for ablution for Fajr Prayers in chilly winter mornings.

Yes. The solar water heaters are designed for easy assembly and can be assembled by anybody using our installation guides as reference. However you will need a plumber to connect the water heater to your hot water distribution lines.

The Shamsi-200 requires roof space of roughly 6ft x 6ft. Ideally, placement should be close to hot water risers to minimize distance to bathrooms, and in a place without shading from nearby structures.

The unit should be installed in south-facing direction, i.e. the glass tubes should be facing south.
